This bike is my current ride, and has been all over the United States. It's accumulated over 65k, pretty much trouble free relabile miles.

I should call this bike " the Cat." It's had several lives already. I bought it as a rolling wreck, to build "my" touring bike from. The previous owner had crashed and near totaled the bike, requiring a new frame and eliminating the front fairing and related hardware. I spent the whole winter of 95 building a similar version of this, only to have it knocked out from underneath me by a distracted driver in a Buick station wagon. It was the bikes maiden voyage, first day of spring, 1996. It had a total of 55 miles on it and was totaled again. Once again, back down to the frame for a second replacement, which makes this the 3rd. I spent a year recovering from the accident, during which I re- arranged my shop to be able to function there from a wheel chair. Rebuilding the Harley, better this time, was part of my therepy. Third frame is a charm apparently, this one's been great.
